Say Bye to "HQB's Friday Five"
I am sort of spontaneous and I have been known to get bored easily. I'm not sure if it's a bad thing really, but either way, it is what it is lol. So, for the past couple of months on my blog, you have seen my Friday feature, "HQB's Friday Five". This is where each Friday, I would have a list or discussion of 5 things I wanted to cover. For example, last week was my top five favorite review products that I've had the pleasure to try. Or another week, it was my top 5 favorite cars. Well, guess what?...I got bored with this! Haha, yeah, I was just hitting a point where I said to myself, "yeah I'm sorta sick of this". And I figure if I am bored writing those posts, perhaps my readers are bored reading them too. And I don't want you lovelies getting bored, so time to revamp! I decided to change my HQB's Friday Five to.....drum roll, please....HQB's Fashion Friday! What do y'all think?!?
I love fashion. I could never get bored with fashion because it is always changing and there are always different aspects of fashion to talk about. I am super excited about this slight change in my blogging routine! So, for this first edition of HQB's Fashion Friday, I am going to feature a few outfits I threw together that I like.
First, let's talk boots! Oh, how I love boots! I have several pairs, because...well, why not!?! I have a few in black. High heels, medium heel, sleek and tight, or lose with the "bunched up" sort of look. I had the cutest pair of brown boots too, and sadly, I just noticed they are badly damaged... so now I am on the hunt for new brown boots! Any recommendations? Well, thankfully, I am fully stocked on black ones, and I do tend to wear black more than any other color, so no major rush there. I will wait for a good deal somewhere. I like to pair my boots with jeans or with a dress. They go super fabulously with both!
Don't forget that adding a cute scarf can really complete an outfit! It is the perfect fall or winter accessory! I have several with designs and prints and even some that are more solid in color, or ombre as seen in my photos here. It can add a little summin' summin' to your style!
I love sweaters in the fall and winter, but I dislike the heavy and bulky kind. I always look for lighter sweaters. They lay better on and because they are less bulky, they don't make you look fluffy. Yes, fluffy; my nice way of saying fat, lol. And I am just talking about myself personally here...when I wear bulky sweaters, I think they make me look fat, so obviously, I stay away from those. I know some of you skinny-Minnie's don't have to worry about this! You lucky bitches! LOL! This one I'm wearing here isn't too bulky, so it passes my requirements. I paired it with some darker jeans and the silliest shoes I own! Why do I say that? They are a mix between a man's work boot, and a woman's dress shoe. They are boarder line ugly, yet, something about them makes them somewhat cute. It's weird to explain.
I don't know about you ladies, but I have SO many summer tops! Ya know... tanks, short sleeved or no sleeved...and it is a shame that where I live, in Antarctica, errrr I mean Western New York, I can only wear those cute tops a few months out of the year. But, what I love to do is keep those summer tops handy, and layer them for colder weather! So for example, I took this summer (sleeveless) top and put a black sweater wrap over it. Perfect! When you interchange pieces like this, your wardrobe is virtually endless.
Alright guys, that wraps it up! What are some of your favorite fall fashions? Do you have a love for boots like I do? What else do you love to accessorize with? Total open fashion discussion my lovelies!
Love those dark jeans!!! :) My favorite fall fashions are boots and blazers!! :D
ReplyDeleteoh yeah, blazers are a good choice too! ;)
DeleteI am not into boots or shoes for that matter--if I could I would go barefoot but I live downstate NY and it gets pretty cold here as well!! I do love sweaters and have a slew of them--I never thought to wear my summer tops under a winter wrap or button up sweater in the winter-what a good idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Miki!
DeleteI like sweaters but I'm a hoodie girl for sure
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree! I love hoodies too! I actually didn't mention them here because I will have a whole post just on hoodies down the road! lol ;)

ReplyDeleteHehehe I'm trying to force myself to like boots.... I keep getting them for reviews and post on my blog hoping that they will eventually grow on me. Only if NY had no snow so I could rock heels all year long!
