Glazed Pork Chops Recipe

I don't know what it is about pork, but it sure is delicious. In our household, we really enjoy pork chops. It's not something I will make very often, but more of a special treat. I have played around with several ways of making them, and I swear, most of them always come out so good! This dish was no different!

I made a basic rub out of brown sugar and spices. The mixture becomes a delicious glaze, sure to appeal to just about everyone! I love the combination of sweet and spicy, so for me, this was heaven! I paired it with loaded potatoes and green beans.

Ingredients:

3 pork chops (I went with boneless, but you can do bone-in if you prefer)

2 tbsp. olive oil

2 cups brown sugar

2 tsp. cayenne powder

2 tsp. paprika

2 tsp. salt

2 tsp. black pepper

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the brown sugar with cayenne powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Remove pork chops from their package and place each one in the bowl, being sure to cover both sides with the mixture.

  2. Add about 2 tbsp. of olive oil in a pan and put on medium-high heat.

  3. Once the oil is hot, carefully place pork chops in the pan. Add all the left over brown sugar and spices into the pan as well.

  4. Allow to cook about 8 minutes on each side, occasionally moving and basting the pork chops with glaze from the bottom of the pan.

  5. Once you are sure the pork chops are thoroughly, remove from heat and serve.
