Benefits of Probiotics

I am sort of a health nut. Not to any extremes, but I do watch everything that goes into or on my body. I read labels...avoiding high fructose corn syrup, artificial coloring, saturated fats, and so on. I also take vitamins and supplements. These days, there is so much bad stuff in the food we eat and the air we breathe, you'd be wise to take steps to stay as healthy as possible.

One way to do this, is by taking Probiotics. Probiotics are live bacteria that are good for your health, especially your digestive system. We usually think of bacteria as something bad or harmful, however your body is naturally full of bacteria, both good and bad. Probiotics are often called good bacteria because they help keep your gut healthy. Probiotics are naturally found in your body. You can also find them in some foods, like yogurt, or in supplements.

All of us has more than 1,000 different types of bacteria that live in our digestive tracts. They help us to break down food and absorb nutrients. If you become ill and your doctor prescribes you an antibiotic, that medicine that kills the bad bacteria will actually kill the good bacteria too. This is often why being on an antibiotic might cause you diarrhea. You doctor may actually tell you to eat yogurt or take a probiotic supplement for the duration of being on the antibiotic. It is actually a good idea to take a probiotic all the time. Some of the proven benefits of probiotics, in addition to digestive health, are improved immune system, improved lactose tolerability, and increased mineral absorption.

I recently started taking a probiotic supplement on a regular basis. This probiotic supplement from LifeGlow is Gluten free and vegetarian safe. I have been taking one capsule a day for the last two weeks. I have noticed that I am having a lot less trouble with my sometimes sensitive stomach. I like taking anything that I know is healthy, so I feel great about adding this supplement to my daily routine! If you have any digestive issues, are on an antibiotic, or need an immune system boost, you should look into this supplement!

  16. Taking probiotics doesn’t cause serious side effects. In the very beginning, you may experience some digestive discomfort as the beneficial bacteria colonies are being replenished.

Some people experience bloating and flatulence during the first few days of taking probiotics. These problems will soon disappear and digestive health will improve significantly.
