Make a cute doggie bed for $2.00!?!

I am certainly not the most crafty person in the world. It is just one gift I was not given, lol, but I still try every now and then! About a week ago, I was at Sam's Club getting a few things. Well, while I was there I spotted an empty box that I thought would make the perfect little doggie bed for my Pomeranian, Mr. Foxy Bobo. Of course I wanted to dress it up a little! So, I went to the dollar store and thought "how can I make this little doggie bed cute, for super cheap?". It's not like my dog is lacking a nice comfy place to sleep...that dog has the run of the house. You can usually find him on the couch or in his crate, which has pillows and blankets in it. But I wanted to see what I could possibly make out of this cardboard box!

So, all I used for this craft project was the box I got for free, a roll of wrapping paper ($1) and a pack of pink gem stickers ($1)...thanks dollar store! A grand total of two bucks! And of course a glue stick that I already had at home! So, I wrapped the box with the wrapping paper, much like I would wrap a present. The only tricky part was by the opening, especially because it had some rounded corners...but I did the best I could! Then I added some of the little pink gems around the opening and there ya have it! I sort of cheated with the little pink pillow, I already had that...but it fit right in perfectly!

The next thing to do was to see what Mr. Foxy Bobo thought of his new little house? I called him over and showed it to him. He jumped right in and went right to sleep! Yay! I call it a success! As long as my little Bobo-luscious likes it, it's all good!

Mr. Foxy Bobo likes it! Took a nap right away!

  4. This is such a cute idea for a little dog! Unfortunately my dogs are giant breeds so I would need a washer box or something!
