Buffalo Wing Dip
You can't live this close to Buffalo, without loving Buffalo Chicken Wings! But, you know what is even better?? - Buffalo Wing Dip!! It's very easy to make, great for parties, as an appetizer, or even for a lunch! Ok, so get ready...here is my recipe!
First, preheat your oven for 375 degrees F. Find a decent sized oven safe dish. Use two 13oz. cans of chicken meat. Empty the cans into the oven safe dish, then chop it up because they usually come in large chunks. Once the chicken meat is chopped up to size you desire, add the rest of the ingredients. 14 oz. of sour cream, 8 oz. of whipped cream cheese (whipped because it mixes better), 8 oz. of shredded cheddar cheese, and finally, 6-10 oz. of Frank's Red Hot sauce. I am using the range of 6-10 oz. for the Frank's Red Hot sauce because this is where the heat is coming from, so depending on how hot you want your dip, add more, or less. If you really want it hot, Frank's also has a Buffalo Wing sauce, which I will warn you, is hot!!! If I want my dip to have an extra kick, I will use the original Frank's, then add just a few table spoons of the hotter sauce.
After you mix all these ingredients well in the oven safe dish, put it in the oven (already set to 375 degrees F) for about 30-40 minutes. I will stir it once, about half way through the baking time. It will be ready to eat right away, but it will be hot, so use caution.
Also, please note that you can add chopped celery into the dip, mixed in while adding the other ingredients. I personally love to dip celery sticks into the chicken wing dip, therefor I don't add it in the dip as well. Also, any tortilla chips can be used to dip too. If you love chicken wings, you will love this dip! Enjoy!
